Q&A from the Webinar:

Q: Will I lose the depreciation deduction if I buy inside an IRA?

A: No, you will not. You will still be able to write off depreciation.

Q: Can you have both types of IRAs?

A: There are more then just two types, but yes, you are able to have multiple different IRA’s open at the same time.

Q: So, given an existing IRA (mine is Fidelity based), how do I invest in Phoenix? I suspect it involves moving funds to your IRA fund.

A:  Yes, you would have to move your funds from Fidelity to a Self-Directed IRA custodian, like Horizon.

Q: If I have a Roth IRA & 401K account at Fidelity, can I do a partial transfer to Horizon self-directed IRA account?

A: Yes.

Q: Can payouts be rolled over to increase investments? Automated? Full/partial?

A: No, monthly distributions payments can not automatically be rolled over into this offering; however; you can manually add on to your investment with PAH up until this offering closes (expected to close in March or April).

Q: Is this program open for non-Americans?

A: Yes, you do not need to be a U.S citizen or resident to invest. You will need a valid passport from your country to complete our identity verification check on the online application.

Q: Is this applicable for someone that is 70?

A: Yes, this applies to anyone interested in growing their income and protecting it from taxes.

Q: How can I benefit from my Roth and my spouse’s Roth combined to invest in a private REIT?

A: You would rollover funds from both you and your spouse’s Roth IRAs into a Self-Directed IRA. You would then invest individually into PAH and we would combine the investments into a Joint Account for the both of you.

Q: I have a SDIRA with checkbook control with another custodian. Do you do checkbook control or have an opinion on it?

A: Yes. If you have checkbook control with another IRA custodian, you would complete the online application, select “Invest Through a Self-Directed IRA” under the payment method tab, then would mail the check to us to complete the investment.

Q: Do you guys allow real-estate purchases from your self-directed IRAs?

A: Yes, Horizon Trust Company allows Alternative Investments and Real Estate Investments — unlike other custodians like Fidelity and Charles Schwab.

Q: Is there a risk insurance on investment?

A: The REIT Investment is insured by the Real Estate properties themselves.
